Catherine Devlin Obituary
1945 - 2026
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, Grandma and friend after a 14 year battle with dementia. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Hugh and Catherine Watson. "Cathie" is survived by her loving husband, George Devlin, two children, Christopher Devlin (Claire Handley), Heather Lang (Richard Lang), and three grandchildren, Liam, Josh and Kalina. Cathie is remembered for her vivacious personality, love of family, depth of compassion, her appreciation of the arts, event coordinating, volunteering at the Queen Alexandra Centre for children with significant disabilities, teaching aerobics at the YM/YWCA, and her interest in dance. Happiness is knowing your recovery is complete, your soul is replenished and your path is renewed. May we all remember and rejoice in our memories of you.
The family wish to thank the Special Care Unit at Age Care James Bay, who cared for Cathie over the last several years. We would also like to acknowledge Cathie's private care aide, Arden, who gave the gift of companionship, love and respite support.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Dr. Victoria, on Friday, February 27th, 2026 at 2pm with Life Tribute Celebrant - Laura Lee Parris officiating.

I am so sorry about Cathy's passing. She was a wonderful person, always so friendly and kind. We lived next door to George and her, I loved my talks with her. My thoughts and prayers go out to George, Christopher, Heather and family. She will be missed.

I'm so sorry to see that Catherine passed away my sincere condolences to George Heather Christopher and family we lost a beautiful soul I had the honor of being her hairdresser for so many years until I retired we always had so much to talk about from art to trips to family , I'm very sure Catherine will be missed and remembered by many RIP until someday we will meat again.

My parents were friends of Hughie and Kay. There were touch points with Catherine around the time my parents passed away and I still remember how warm and kind she was. Sorry to hear.
