Paul, I only just now heard about Cathie's death, or certainly would have sent my condolences sooner.

I was friends with her in highschool and shared an apartment with her for one year in Vancouver, when we went to UBC. She was a good roommate, and I certainly remember some long, interesting, philosphical discussions that we had, talking about all the things that twenty-somethings find worthwhile. I know, for instance, she had a very romantic view of love, and she seems to have lived her ideal, because I believe she met and married you not terribly long after we went our separate ways.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Paul and family,

I was shocked and very upset to here about Cathie. It was a very unfortunate and tragic accident. I will always remember Cathie for her kindness and interest that she had for me. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Cathy's death. She was a great lady, one whom I admired and respected. I knew her as a person deeply committed to the rights of individuals with disabilities to live a safe and quality life of full citizenship in community and to experience life as a valued member of society. Her vision, enthusiasm and mentorship in the field will be greatly missed.

My condolences to all her extended family.

To Catherine's family
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Catherines passing. In her proffessional capacity , she sat many times in our kitchen . Lending a compasionate ear, drying tears. she was always empathetic , caring and supportive. To many people she was a hero. ensuring that those who could not speak for themselves had a voice , and were safe and secure . Catherine's name is always spoken with fondness and admiration in our home.We miss her.

Paul, our sincerest sympathies in this awful time. Joe and I just learned of Cathie's passing last night. Cathie was a lovely woman and we are glad to have had the opportunity to get to know her through the Miata runs. Robbed of your retirement years together, we feel great sorrow for your loss.
