Christopher Bolt Obituary

BOLT, Christopher
Christopher Bolt, age 86, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. He was born on March 28, 1939.
Christopher is deeply missed by his devoted wife and best friend, Paulette Marsollier; his children Jane Bolt (with partner Mel Zelling) and Mark Bolt; his stepchildren Cam and Nicole Libin Marsollier, and Gillian Marsollier (with partner Spencer Densch); as well as his brother Norman Bolt and his sister Valerie Mazza. He was predeceased by his grandson, Christopher Bolt, in November 2019.
Born in London, England, Chris studied Engineering Drafting before joining one of Southern England's largest independent family-owned bakeries, where he worked in management and production. He later served in the British Army and, in 1968, immigrated to Canada with his young family-first to Toronto, and soon after to Calgary. In 1973, Chris began what would become a distinguished and fulfilling 40-year career in real estate. He worked with Canada Permanent Trust and Royal LePage before becoming Broker-Owner and Regional Director for Sutton Group's Calgary offices. His leadership in the industry included serving as President of the Calgary Real Estate Board in 1999, Chairman of the Calgary Real Estate Board Charitable Foundation, and President of the Alberta Real Estate Association in 2004. He contributed widely as an instructor and board member, dedicating himself to the growth and integrity of the profession.
Outside of work, Chris lived life with energy and passion. He loved skiing, racquetball, deep-sea diving, and especially golf. His move to Victoria, BC, in 2007 allowed him to embrace the game fully-often golfing five days a week-and he kept to that joyful rhythm for as long as his health allowed.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours, and loved ones whose visits, calls, and help over the past three years supported them through a long and tender goodbye. Your kindness was felt and deeply appreciated.

At Chris's request, no service will be held. Floral tributes are respectfully declined. Those wishing to honour his memory may make a donation to the Victoria Symphony Society, Suite 610, 620 View Street, Victoria, BC V8W 1J6.
