Christopher SILLER Obituary

Our loving husband and wonderful dad, passed away on Dec 8, 2023 on a bright, sunny afternoon at the age of 91 with his loving family by his side.
Chris is survived by his ever loving wife LeeAnne of 68 years, two daughters, Suzanne Siller (Tom Robinson), Roxanne Brass (Ron) and grandsons Taylor and Thomas. Sister Jeanette Ward, and Two Granddogs Murphy and Phoebe and our longtime friends and caregivers Genevie and Filomena.
Chris enjoyed his early life in Regina, Campion College student, moving on to be a travelling musician, settling back home as a furniture salesman and then to a Co-Owner of House of Living Furniture Store.
He was a music lover and a drummer, playing in many bands, which led him to becoming a Booking agent and starting his own Booking Agency, Music Unlimited.
In 1985 Chris and LeeAnne moved to Victoria where he continued in the Music Business until he retired and decided to have fun in car sales.
His big achievements in life were many, but becoming 40 years sober and a member of a wonderful AA Group was the best experience of his life with lifetime friends he loved that were always there for him. You guys know who you are. Thank you!!
Chris was an active member of the Royal Colwood Golf Course, The Kinsmen Club in Regina and Victoria, Rotary Club Victoria and many others. For those that knew him you know another great passion of his was shopping and looking for deals.
Chris is predeceased by his parents Christopher and Marie Siller, sister Carol and brother Johnny, and brother in law Jim Ward.
His life would not have been complete without the love of his in-laws "The Tourigny's". Bernadette and Fort (Mom and Pop) (deceased), Irene Fritz (John deceased), Hector(deceased) (Mary), Ray(deceased) (Carol), Rodger (Marjorie), Gilbert (Sandra).
Chris would like to thank all of his family and friends for making his life such a great one. In his words "Thanks for the memories.....Till we meet again! " And as Frank Sinatra would say "I did it my Way"
A Celebration of Life to be planned for June 2024 in one of his favorite places.

Chris was one of my booking agents in the music industry starting in 1977. I lived in the states and a booking agency in Lincoln, Nebraska got us together. After becoming a successful country recording artist for many years I eventually became a priest. I actually had the opportunity to reach out to Chris in BC and say hi on several occasions a few years before his passing. I´ll never forget the silver Lincoln he had back in 77! It was a really cool car and Chris was very proud of it! :-)
I´m currently writing an autobiography and I mention Chris a few times in it. I always liked him!
Holler if I can ever be of help. God bless you Chris, and see you again! :-)

Love you grampy! You were one of my best friends and you always helped me with the struggles we both shared. It was a privilege to be your grandson. I promise I´ll do you proud.

Having lived in close proximity to Chris and LeeAnne for 8 years in Cordova Bay Beach Estates, I got to know them and some of their family quite well.
LeeAnne; please accept my sincere condolences and I wish all the best to you and the rest of the family going forward.

My sincere condolences to Leeanne, Roxanne and Suzanne and families.
Chris was the Dad everyone wanted for a father. He always greeted me with a smile and really wanted to know how I was but more importantly how were the Westies, Shorty and Maggie?
One day we went looking for sports cars. He wanted me to look at a BMW a guy he knew had for sale in Duncan. I was game but wanted to check out one in Victoria first. I didn´t like it but spotted a bright red sporty job out the corner of my eye that turned out to be a 2007 Jaguar XK and it was love at first sight!!!Chris patiently said after a few minutes of me contemplating to go for it or not. Do you really like that one? I did but...He said if you want it you better buy it while you can...He was so kind and supportive.
To this day I think of him every time I drive it. Rest in peace dear Chris. So grateful to have you as my friend
