Corey Lodge Obituary

LODGE, Corey Roland Born in Kitimat B.C. on December 6th, 1983, Corey passed away suddenly March 3, 2005 in Victoria, his home for the past year and a half. Adored and missed by his loving family: Mother Denise, Father Guy, Brother Jeremy, Loving girlfriend Jenny Croucher, Nana Sylvia Spoor, Grandma Marjorie, Aunts and Uncles: Greg (Lisa), Cheryl (Len), Tim, Cousins: Alexis (Shaun), Nikolaus (Nicole), Nicole, Adam, and life long best friend Jen Billingsley. Corey was a kind, caring, thoughtful young man who loved his family and his friends. With his zest for life, and his passion to have fun, he has touched the lives of many people along his way. Corey believed that life was worth living and he lived it to the fullest everyday. Corey left us, with a big smile while enjoying life. He will be sadly missed by all, but never forgotten. With his easy going, carefree way, his warm affectionate smile has been imprinted on everyone he has met. With Love Always and Forever More we will miss you dearly and We Will Meet Again! In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the "Make-A-Wish Foundation" of B.C. & Yukon 604-688-7944. "Celebration of Corey's Life" will be held at McCalls Funeral Home, 1400 Vancouver Street. Mr. & Mrs. Lodge, I commend you for taking your action to ICBC in regards to trying to make changes in the licensing for motorcycle drivers. My son was killed in a motorcycle accident due to speed in September 1999 a month after getting his license and his new bike! Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please feel free to contact me at [email protected]

Dear Lodge Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Corey was always super friendly to everyone he knew. The last time I talked with him was at a party he had in Terrace. He loved life and wanted everyone to have a good time. I will never forget his smile.

Dear Mr & Mrs Lodge and Jeremy:

"Love is stronger than death. So, I must be content to know that love is not affected by death - it doesn't end, it doesn't diminish, it doesn't change. Instead love is immortalized by death. And the possibility that love ever being damaged or broken is eliminated forever. I'll put my trust in love." Please put your trust in love as well. Our best wishes and prayers are with your family.

Even at a young age, Corey was obviously one of the most fun loving people I've ever known. But along with his love for life was a love for people. Corey always cared about others and was the first to help if it was needed. Corey will always be missed, but I am sure when he's needed most he will still extend his heart. I'm always here for you Aunty Dennie, Uncle Guy and Jay just a few hours away.

Dear Lodge Family: I am so sorry for your loss. I met Corey in Castlegar a few years back, and through the years we became good friends. Corey was one of the kindest and generous friends anybody could ask for. It comes as a shock to everyone that he was taken from us so early in life. My deepest regards to the family. I feel blessed that I was granted the opportunity to meet Corey, and I will sadly miss him. God bless you Corey.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I also lost my daughter at a young age suddenly & it is the most horrible thing for any parent to have to go through. As time passes we learn to go on with lots of help from friends & neighbours. My prayers are with you all.

Our Cul-de-sac has become a very sad and quiet place this past week. We already miss Corey zooming in and out in his little beige car, with his smile as big as Texas. On behalf of all the neighbours, our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the Lodge family, Jenny, and Corey's closest friends.
