Dan PANTELLA Obituary

PANTELLA, Dan B.Com., MBA October 15, 1952 - February 28, 2017 We are sad to announce the passing of a very special person. Dan was born in Dana, Saskatchewan and grew up in the area, attending elementary school in Dana and high school in Bruno. After graduating from university, his career took him to many cities including Calgary, AB, London, ON, and Regina, SK. He moved to Victoria in 1990, and worked for the provincial government until his retirement in 2012. Dan is survived by his wife Myrna and two sons Robert and Tyler (Becky), as well as his sister Madeline (Morris) of Saskatoon, SK, brothers Eugene of Wakaw, SK and Philip (Sandra) of Calgary, AB, aunt Ollie of Saskatoon, SK, and many nephews, nieces, cousins and their extended families. There will be a prayer service for Dan on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Sands Funeral Chapel - Colwood, 317 Goldstream Avenue. Funeral Mass for Dan will be on Friday, March 10th at 11:00 am at our Lady of the Rosary Church, 798 Goldstream Ave. Interment will be at Hatley Memorial Gardens. So very sorry to hear of Dan's passing - he was far too young. I worked at the same Ministry as Dan and always found Dan to be kind and caring with a good sense of humour and a good smoking pal. He will be deeply missed by many. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Jim and I were very saddened to learn of Dan's passing. He was a treasured colleague during our years of working for the provincial government. We have many happy memories of having lots of laughs together over lunches and smokos. It was a joy to know Dan and we send deepest condolences to Myrna and all the family.
