DANN RITCHIE

RITCHIE DANN Janet PhD. Passed away peacefully at the age of 61 years at home surrounded by family and friends after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Her spirit remains with her loving husband, George; three children, Scot Rose of Calgary, AB, Laurel Rose-Houniet (Nick) of Sidney, BC and David Rose (Heather) of Calgary, AB; three much loved grandchildren, Amanda, Chelsea, Cameron; two brothers, Robin Ritchie (Ester) of Ottawa, George Ritchie of Vancouver; two nieces, Sarah and Genevieve; her husband's family in Calgary and Kelowna; and many close and special friends. Janet had a long distinguished career as a University Educator in the field of Nursing. She will also be long remembered by students, clients and colleagues whose lives she touched and deeply influenced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Janet's name to the Victoria Hospice Society, 1952 Bay St., Victoria, BC V8R 1J8. A memorial service will be held at St. Elizabeth Church,10030 3rd St., Sidney, BC on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at 2:00 pm. Janet is now free to soar with the eagles.
