Daryl Currie Obituary

CURRIE, Daryl January 28, 1954 - April 29, 2016 Daryl passed away peacefully on April 29 with friends and family at his side. Survived by his dad Dan, siblings Brian (Dana) and Karen (Jim), nephews Kyle, Ben, Sean and Aidan, friend Tracey and furry buddy Claude. Daryl was the first graduate of the Camosun electronics technician program and enjoyed his life's work, most recently at PMD, where he had dear friends. A devoted Oilers fan and free spirit who followed his own path, he had a big heart and sense of humour, and a smile that endeared him to everyone who met him. He loved his music, conspiracy theories and just about all feline friends. We will miss you big guy. To my friend Daryl...
While we were growing up, you were my rock. You were always there each and every time my family moved back to Victoria. The hours we spent laughing, attempting to play tennis in Naden, or just talking. You were my best friend! These are memories that I continue to hold close to my heart.

Once we became adults we met different people and travelled different paths. I moved to Ontario and went back to Victoria every few years to see my family.
When I was back, you always made time and we got together, except the last time. I really missed our visit but thought that there would be a next time.... And now, here I am, writing this notice of condolence.
To Dan, Brian and Karen, I don't know if you remember me but I remember you. I remember each one of you with fondness. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I wish I could have been there with you.
To Tracey, I'm so sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the Family. I always enjoyed our little chats, when he was there, during my visits to see his dad. He will be missed. Bonnie
