Very very sad news; Dave was a friend and mentor to myself and many others in Victoria. He helped me when I moved to Victoria and was guiding light thereafter. He will be dearly missed and remembered for all he’s done for the dental community here. My condolences to Sue and the rest of the family during these tough times

No words of mine can soothe the Christie's loss of Dave, as he was a one of a kind exemplary father and husband. The quiet standard of professionalism that he set in his friendly way can to be honoured by all of us by remembering him each and every day in our patient interactions. Thank you, Dr Christie, for all you taught me.

My friend Dave passed away and I sure miss him. I knew Dave for 40 years. He was a valued friend and colleague.
I watched his children grow up. There was nothing more important to Dave than his wife Sue and his children ,and then his grandchildren.
He was always willing to help people . In our local dental society , Dave was our liaison person and helped so many people. He mentored young graduates and helped many launch their careers . After his retirement, he helped many dentists transition from owners to retirement.
I'll always remember hiking the West Coast Trail with him, made notable by the fact that he wore his pack in front. He claimed his back felt better. Anyone hiking the trail, all wearing their 40-60 pound packs on their backs would have remembered him.
He will be missed terribly .My life is better for knowing him and being friends.

I fondly remember Dave from the many years we spent together cheering on our sons at Racquet Club Hockey. During that time he also became our family dentist. Always personable and professional .a real class act that will be sorely missed.

So sad to hear the of the passing of a great man. A friend to me and a friend to dentistry in Victoria and B.C. I will be forever grateful for Dave’s passion for dentistry and his guidance and mentorship right up until the time he was very sick. He will be missed beyond comprehension. My thoughts are with Sue and the rest of the family.
