My condolences to the family. I only played Dave once in a tennis match, but I will remember him as a kind person, encouraging and fair, and a gracious competitor. When I reached out to him he was willing to practice with me, in spite of him being a stronger player. He took the time to respond. Even though I didn´t know him well, he will be missed by me and others in the tennis community. He spoke about his family on the one occasion we played, in particular his Mom and her love for tennis. His family was obviously very important to him. I´m so very sorry for your loss.

Dear Kotorynski Family, I am so very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I worked with him for 20+ years at BC Ferries during which time we had many great conversations and laughs. We would often talk about Volkswagons, he would say he'd like a Westfalia and I would tell him about all the times mine broke down. Such a kind, gentle soul who talked often of his family, it was obvious that he loved you very much. I am so sorry for your loss.
