David and Jo were our neighbours in the 1970's when we lived on Doncaster. Fond memory of his attending son Heber's lacrosse game then having to take Heber to the hospital to stitch up his chin. Our condolences to the family. John and Rhoda McDonald.

Dr. Dave as my kids would call him was a truly compassionate Doctor. My family were his patients for 30 yrs until we moved, coming back 6 yrs later to find he had retired (broke my heart). He cared so much, never rushing you out the door and always remembered everything you told him even if you only saw him a couple times of years. He would talk about his family which he was so proud of. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Rest in peace Dave.

Dr. Madill was our family doctor for many years and saw us through many events throughout the year. He was compassionate, direct, resourceful, and so human. I am incredibly saddened to hear of his passing but will take peace in the memory of what he brought to my life. A good person, a beautiful human, and a top-notch doctor. Rest in peace and thank you for everything.

To Jo, Kath, Steve and families. I have no words. In the 26 years I worked for/with him there was never a day I didn't learn something, about medicine, about life, about living. We were all a family in that office and cared about each other deeply. He was one of the most intelligent people I have ever known and I respected and admired the type of medicine he practised. He listened, really listened to everyone. Dave was important to my family, the whole gang, who became patients when I started working for him. I could go on and on but suffice to say, he will be sorely missed by all. My sincere condolences and love to you all.
