David "Downstairs" lived in our basement apartment for 19yrs. During that time he had become a member of the household and loved to be included in our traditions. Certain tasks he loved to be involved in - bringing the Christmas tree up from the basement - staking the sunflowers & gladiolas - driving us to & fro the airport. He had an enormous pride in the garden & was always willing to help in any household projects. David was always there for us, for our sons & for our pets! We were his second family! His devotion to his wife Mary was outstanding & he had enormous pride in his daughters Denise & Nicole.
We will miss him & his wonderful sense of humour very much & he is a tremendous loss to the whole neighbourhood & Victoria community.
We will always remember you David.

I will remember David's smile, his infectious laughter, the twinkle in his eyes and that his heart was as big as the great outdoors. May your memories of him bring you peace at this tragic time.
with deepest sympathy,

I served Dave for more than 4 years (Red Robin - had to be his favourite place), and although I would only see him once or twice a week, I always looked forward to seeing him. Dave was a breath of fresh air, always happy and intrigued by what was going on in our lives. He will be missed by so many people, he was a wonderful man. I am sorry to see such an amazing person leave so suddenly.

We're so saddened by Dave's sudden death. He was a part of our family. He was always doing so many wonderful kind things for everyone. I miss his phone calls already, just him checking in on us and the kids. He always had some joke to tell you and it usually made you laugh, even if you didn't think it was as funny as he did, it made you laugh to hear his wonderful laughter.
Dave spent many Christmas morning's with us. Wesley and Spencer's faces would light up when he would open up the door and say his big "Ho! Ho! Ho!"
He made Christmas so special for our children. He loved watching them experience the magic of Christmas.
Dave had a real zest for life and loved being around people. He was just starting to really enjoy his retirement.
Dave was a devoted husband, father and friend. He loved his wife and daughters very much and his friends too. Our hearts are with Mary, Denise and Nicole and the many friends he was close to. We will always think of the special fond memories we've had with Dave. We love you and miss you so much.
