David ROBERTS Obituary
ROBERTS, David Gwilym 1931 - 2013 After a short illness, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Gwilym Roberts on Saturday September 7th, 2013 at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. Dave was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on January 29, 1931. He was predeceased by his parents William and Margaret, brothers Howard and Murray (Kay). He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Verna of 57 years, son Paul (Connie), daughters Marlene (Mark) and Sharon; grandchildren Jason, Sean, Cheryl (Darryl), and Jenni and extended family. Dave & Verna moved to Victoria in 1957 where Dave worked in Sheet Metal, Eatons, and Real-Estate until retirement. They enjoyed traveling and their life at Falcon Ridge Community. The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the Royal Jubilee Cardiac Care Unit, Victoria Hospice, The Quick Response Team, Palliative Response Team, Community Care Services, and Saanich Peninsula Palliative Care Unit for your compassionate support and expert care. A funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church (3821 Cedar Hill X Rd) on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 1:30pm. Interment will be in the St. Luke's cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saanich Peninsula Palliative Care Program, Victoria Hospice or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Dear Verna and family - I am so, so sorry to hear of David's passing. You will miss him so much - the two of you were best of friends.....I will miss running into the two of you in various airports. My thoughts are with you.
