David SHERMAN Obituary

David Scott Sherman
August 2, 1946 - May 31, 2024

David was born in Vancouver, moved to Victoria at the age of 3 and on to Pender Island (which he considered his paradise) 46 years later.

He was predeceased by his mother Shirley Sherman and his father Steven and parents-in-law John and Anne Schaworski.

He is survived by his wife Donna, his best friend Art (Jan) Paulo and family, half-siblings Janet (Martin) Stead and Fred (Suzanne) Milton and their families, in-laws David, Randy, Robin, Daphne and their families.

David attended Ruth King Elementary, St. Michael's University School, Oak Bay High School and UVic. Then graduating from BCIT, David worked as a sales rep for General Foods and Levi Strauss. He then went on to have a successful career in real estate both in Victoria and on Pender Island.

David made many friends over the years and he fostered and valued those friendships greatly. His regular phone calls will be missed by many.

To honour David's wishes there will be no formal ceremony or service. Please privately celebrate David's memory in your own way. Thank you for understanding during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, David would have been grateful for a donation to be made in his memory to the SPCA, your preferred animal charity or a food bank.

Donna, I am so sorry to learn of David's death. Also I am sorry we lost connection after you left Asquith. I still have the roller-packer he gave me and it has been shared and used by many in our cul de sac. I am still at the same old house. Do call, 250 477 0941 warmly, Barbara Hay

I´m so sorry to hear about Dave´s passing. I have such lovely memories of our monthly chats when he came to pick up the rent money for the little cabin I was renting. He will indeed be sadly missed.

I am so sad to hear of David´s passing. I first met David at a dance class when we were both 15 years old. He was my first boyfriend! We remained friends over the years, often chatting over the phone. David was a very sincere person and always a gentleman. My sincere condolences to his wife, Donna, and family.
