David Stobbart Obituary
STOBBART, David Born October 26, 1931, Nanaimo BC. Dave left this world October 22, 2008 to reunite with Margaret, his wife of 53 years. Poppa will be missed by his children, Norman (Julie), Christine (Reg), Shelly (Rory), Pamela (Gerry), 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. After 3 full careers in 2RCHA, Corrections Canada at William Head, and Dominion Observatory Commissionaires, Dave has earned his well deserved rest. No service by request. Memorial donations to BC Heart & Stroke or Canadian Cancer Society gratefully appreciated. The family will place a new plaque on Mom's memorial bench at Metchosin Golf Course to mark his passing as he goes on to play the back nine with Marg. 508918

I was so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing (& your Mom's). I lived in the same park as your parents but moved about 4.5 years ago. I lost my Dad just over 2 years and it is very difficult as you have already experienced your Mothers loss not that long ago. You have 2 guardian angels watching over you now in heaven. Again I am so sorry to hear it is very sad he was a very nice man, I knew your Dad more then your Mom. Best wishes, Laurie and family
