David Theriault Obituary
THERIAULT, David J.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the recent passing of David J. Theriault, born May 31, 1977. Beloved husband to Amanda (together 19 years), he also leaves behind his four amazing children, Quentin, Denika, Cyla, and Mackenzie, who were the greatest pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind his brother Jeff and loving mother and father-in-law (Sharon and Steve), who were truly like parents to him.
In his final years, while bravely facing a long battle with cancer, Dave discovered a passion for woodworking. Entirely self-taught, with a few treasured tips from his father-in-law, he poured his heart into every piece he created. While on medical leave from his job with Waste Management, he found comfort in the shop, often taking quiet breaks to sit with the hummingbirds and fish.
Dave will be remembered not only for his strength and resilience, but also for his quick wit and great sense of humor. Even in his hardest moments, he could make the people around him laugh, something his family and friends will cherish forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to BC Cancer Research in his honour. A small gathering will be held at a later date.
