Denise Andersen Obituary
Denny left us peacefully on April 11 at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital, where she had served on the Auxiliary for many years and felt at home. Denny was predeceased by her beloved husband Anton. She was born in Egypt in 1930 to British parents, returning to live in England where she served as a Lance Corporal in the British Army's WRAC. She and Anton resided in Hawaii and Costa Rica before settling in BC. Denny was an intelligent woman with a keen grasp of world affairs, a sharp wit and a big heart. She was a life-long animal lover who lit up with joy when in the company of her furry friends. She was also an avid reader who appreciated classical music and an afternoon glass of sherry.
Denny will be greatly missed by her friends. Special thanks to Dr. Marsh and the ECU staff for their excellent care; also to Father Rolf. No service at her request. Donations honouring Denny may be made to BC Guide Dog Services or the Saanich Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary.
