Derek Chatwin Todd

TODD, Derek Chatwin 1921 - 2015 The Butchart family is very sad to lose Derek, the last surviving grandchild of Robert and Jennie Butchart. Derek was not only my father Ian Ross' cousin, they were great friends sharing a lifelong passion for the "ponies" and forever devising "systems" they hoped would give them the winners. Much of this scheming took place, if not at the track, Saturday mornings on the links of the Victoria Golf Club, playing nine holes of their choosing. If you thought up something unusual to do, and needed a cohort, Derek was your man; his energy and kindness knew no bounds. Although he often marched to the beat of his own drum, the rhythm of his life was eminently danceable. We shall miss and remember him always. Robin-Lee Clarke & family
