Don TACON Obituary

TACON Don, passed away peacefully at Glengarry Hospital at supper time on Sunday, March 9, 2003. His dearly beloved wife Christine died in November shortly after his 90th birthday. They were married for 66 years. Don and his family came over from England to Canada in 1957 and have called Victoria home since 1958. Don worked in sales at Eaton's for 20 years and, being the outgoing person that he was, got to know many people. After retirement he was very active with the Oak Bay Volunteers. He and Chris loved and appreciated the beauty of Victoria and Western Canada. Don loved to walk along the sea front by Dallas Road with 'his dog of the month' and chat with the regulars. He is survived by his brother, Jack and his wife Eunice in England; his nephew, Don and his wife Merope; his son, Michael and his wife Beverley; his son, Bob, and grandchild Jacqui and her husband Ash and their children, Devon and Dylan, and grandchild Denise and her daughter, Taylor May; his son, David and his wife Loanne and their children, Jordan and Suzy. A memorial service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4725 Falaise Drive, on Saturday, March 15 at 9:00 a.m. with a reception to follow at the home of Bob Tacon at 4435 Torquay Drive (near Ash Road), Saanich.
