Donald MILLER Obituary
It is with a heavy heart and deep sorrow that I, Beatrice Miller announce the passing of my wonderful husband of 19 years, Donald Roy Miller, on Sept.8. Sadly his cancer has won, but he was exceptionally brave, active and optimistic all along.
Don had a long career in carpentry and spent many years as a contractor creating numerous beautiful kitchens and bathrooms.
He first encountered serious health issues in 2019 which led to using an electric wheelchair and moving into full care at The Summit in Quadra Village. We made a little home for him there in a good sized, sunny room. He received exceptional care at the facility and I am forever grateful for the help and kindness of all the professionals and support staff.
Don enjoyed a full and busy life exploring around Victoria with me in tow, but also joined, and/or, invited by many kind friends.
He also made good use of Handydart services for transportation. My appreciation goes to BC Transit Handydart and its amazing drivers and booking service staff.
Don stayed close to his beloved brother David, and sister-in-law Linda, of Penticton, as well as his many friends in Victoria, Sidney and the Island. He was a happy person and remained at peace with his condition right to the end.
On behalf of Don and myself, I express my gratitude to the many who supported us and continue to stand by me now. Thank you all, Family and Friends.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service to inter Don's ashes will be held in Spring 2026. Rest in Peace Don. You will be remembered, respected, loved and missed forever.
