PINK, Donald
April 11, 1935 - November 3, 2025
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Pink, of Victoria, BC, formerly of Ottawa, on November 3rd, 2025 at the age of 90.
Born in Aylmer, Quebec, Don was a lifelong learner, teacher, and musician. He taught Core French and inspired generations of students in Ottawa and Sudbury before retiring in 1993. He was the first in his family to graduate university, earning a degree in Sociology from Carleton University.
Don's love of music carried throughout his life, from leading singalongs at Sunday school to performing with choirs and Gilbert & Sullivan productions. He also had a passion for sailing, woodworking, and travel, enjoying adventures across Canada and abroad with his wife Alice.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Alice (née Martin), his children Gaela and Allen, and extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel Victoria, please see their website for updates. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer Agency
