Doreen was always so engaging and welcoming to me and my family at St. John's Church. She went out of her way to compliment me and remark on a colour that would suit me or a feature I had that she admired. I remember one year we were washing dishes in the kitchen after the Christmas Pageant. It was my birthday and Doreen and the other women were talking about young I was and how exciting the years to come were going to be. Doreen, who was in her mid-70's got down on the floor and put her foot behind her head and then did a small dance routine with the splits at the end. I have missed encountering her over the last few years. What a wonderful, dynamic, loving woman. Sending comfort to you all as you traverse this sad time.
