Always a vivacious contributor to any discussion, didn't matter if it was in person or online! I learned a lot from Doug during our brief overlap on the GVHA Board. My condolences to beloved family and close friends.

Doug was my great dog walking friend when McGinty and I started tagging along with him and Oscar at High Rock Park. A man with a big heart, sense of humour and love of family. He will be greatly missed and our deepest condolences go to Gail and his family as they deal with his loss. Sincerely Robin and Marisa Adair

Gail and family, Pat, Marilyn, Bob and family, our hearts are with you at this time. Doug will always be my cool, funny older cousin but over the years I also came to know him as someone who loved a real conversation and who treated others with the respect they deserved. I will remember him. Love, Louise and Daniel

I met Doug about 20 years ago while I was working at a school where Gail was principal, he was a kind, funny guy with a steadfast stance you don´t forget. Never to be forgotten!

Indeed; as a little kid lost in a sea of older cousins, Doug always had time for me. I always respected that in him. It's a big loss. RIP Cousin.

Doug´s life shines through so clearly in these words. His generosity and his willingness to help friends and family including this neighbour were so appreciated and he will be so missed. Wishing comfort and peace to all who loved him.
