Douglas Casey Obituary
As a young man, Doug was the drummer for Victoria's rock band 'The Pharaohs.' He had a 35 year career with Canada Post, and was proud to have been a volunteer firefighter in Colwood.
Once retired, he enjoyed travelling in the winter and fishing at Becher Bay in the summer. He would spend hours detailing his car until it sparkled.
When COVID-19 took Christmas celebrations online, he made everyone laugh when he showed up in a Grinch costume. He added to his Grinch collection every year since.
He is survived by his partner of 34 years, his two children, and many extended family members and friends.
We won't forget you, Doug.

We share the sadness with Alison Shane and Tara on the passing of Doug. We have wonderful memories of our times together both in Canada and the UK and remember his generosity and fun times. Miss you Doug.

Very sorry to read of Doug's passing this morning.I've know Doug for more than 50 years, as a Colwood firefighter and as a curler.Doug was one of the original members of the annual Colwood Firefighter Christmas go-rounds.Always enjoyed his drumming when attending an event where the Pharaohs were playing.Condolences to Allison and the family.

My sincerest condolence's to family on the passing of Doug. He and I enjoyed many good times and laughs as members of the colwood fire department. Always the best of times on the truck with Doug doing the Christmas go round.
