DOUGLAS O'BRIAN Obituary
Douglas O'Brian passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, in Victoria, British Columbia. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Douglas lived a life marked by kindness, creativity, and quiet strength.
The O'Brian family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Glengarry Hospital for the compassionate care provided to Douglas in his final chapter. We also wish to express our deep gratitude to our longtime family friend, Dave, for his friendship and care over the past decade.
Douglas was a devoted family man and a respected businessperson. Outside of work, he spent many years pursuing his interest in woodworking, building pieces he often shared with friends and family. His thoughtful, steady presence enriched the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia, his children Geraldine (Dave) and Andrew (Argelia), and his five grandchildren: Spencer, Sophia, Thomas, Noah, and Domenic. Douglas is also survived by his sisters, Pauline and Susan, along with extended family and many cherished friends in Canada and Australia.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
