Dustin THORPE-DOUBBLE Obituary

THORPE-DOUBBLE Dustin Thomas (Stick). It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden death of our son on December 24, 2002. Dustin was born to his Mom Sandy and Dad Steve on September 28, 1980 in the Old Chemainus Hospital. Predeceased by his Grandmother Ina. Dustin is survived by his loving parents, sister Erica (Brad), his cherished niece Paige, grandparents Pete Thorpe-Doubble and Floyd and Brenda Donnelly, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins from both theThorpe- Doubble and Donnelly families. To all that knew him, Dustin was "always there when we needed him." Dustin was raised on a farm in Chemainus and always had a love for machinery. At the age of two he graduated from Tonka toys to real equipment when he "ran away from home" and was found sitting in the old farm tractor. In 1989, when his dad started T.D. Contracting, Dustin was only nine years old, but he could drive a gravel truck, run a backhoe or excavator and knew his way around a tool box. Dustin spent the next thirteen years along side his mom and dad becoming an integral part of T.D. Contracting. To his many friends he was always the kid with the "real toys." To his co-workers, he was sometimes stubborn or opinionated, but would never give up and Dustin could get the job done, no matter what. To us he was our Loving Son and Brother. Forever in our hearts, Rest in Peace Dear Son. The memorial Service will be held Friday, January 3rd, 2003, at Chemainus Gardens RV Park at 3042 River Road, Chemainus. Doors 1pm, Service 2 pm. For directions contact First Memorial at 250-748-2134. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made in memory of Dustin to the Canadian Cancer Society or the MS Society.
