Having grown up on the Saanich Peninsula, Metchosin and then Burnaby Ed's career with the Royal Bank began straight out of high school in 1940. Besides his love of family, friends, and attachment to the inherited property Ed was very devoted spiritually. Ed lived his faith. The covenant between the Saanich Peninsula Catholic Church and St. Steven's Anglican Church was of utmost importance as was the coming together with the seventeen churches of various faiths for the Good Friday services on the Peninsula. So dear Ed, "Holy Doodle you lived a good life; Gad Zooks we will miss you". A service will be held at St Elizabeth's Church at 10030 Third Street, Sidney,B.C. at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 25, 2013.
