Edward Gardner Obituary

August 25, 1926 - September 15, 2011

Born in Mission, BC; lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Antonia, his son David (Pam), daughters Susan (John) Grzegorek and Vicki (Glen) Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Sarah, brothers David and Joseph, sisters Martha and Mable.

Ed spent his life on the BC coast as far north as Alaska, the Queen Charlotte Islands and south to the Caribbean Island of Dominica. Many friends mourn his loss, as he was a community leader and supporter of so many projects, always being there to offer a hand. Ed was a business man who worked the coast logging, fishing, and road building; as a young man he worked on the paddle wheelers of the Yukon. He was a Marine, Air and Hovercraft Pilot and scuba diver. He lived his life by the Masonic Code and believed in it with all his heart.

Dad's journey afforded us the opportunity to meet many kind and unique people. Thanks for the help and support given to Ed through this trying time.

He leaves us so many good memories.

A service will be held at the Masonic Lodge Wed. Sept. 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.
