Eileen Alexander Obituary

ALEXANDER, Eileen August 20, 1924 - December 19, 2017 Eileen, a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 93. She was an exceptionally kind, warm and welcoming person who will be greatly missed. Eileen brought the family together with dinners and celebrations well into her late eighties. A long-term member of St. Aidan's United Church, she had a love for gardening, playing bridge with friends, travelling and her volunteer work. Eileen is survived by Bob, her husband of 70 years, children Joan (Doug), Jim (Lorrie) and Nancy (Tom), grandchildren Ross (Lisa), Darren, Mike, Lindsay (Phil), great-grandchildren Emily and Owen, brother Gordon Cowley, nephews and dear friends. A very special thanks to Dr. G. Luckhurst for the excellent care he provided as well as recent caregivers. At Eileen's request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
