Elizabeth DACK Obituary

DACK, Elizabeth Ann
April 18, 1931-April 10, 2025
In her 94th year, Betty died in her sleep and she leaves to mourn her sister, Roberta Leone Mansfield, her daughter, Diane Elizabeth Dack, and her five grandchildren, and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband, Allan Edward Dack, and her son, Gordon Robert Dack.
Born in Dauphin, Manitoba, Betty grew up in a loving home embraced by her parents, her cherished sister, Leone, and a large loving extended family. Abundant fond memories were formed by summers spent at Madge Lake and time on the family farm. Betty spent many years in Winnipeg where she built a life together with Allan, before they relocated to the Westcoast. They enjoyed everything Vancouver Island had to offer and formed countless new friendships. They embraced the local arts and music scene in Victoria and their spirit of adventure was evidenced by their numerous trips abroad. Betty's love of animals was evident in the beloved family pets she cared for over the years. She will be remembered for her kindness and quiet strength. An immeasurable debt of gratitude is owed to the residents and staff at Berwick (Shelbourne) who created a new home for her and blessed her with the gift of friendship.

No funeral service by request.

Al and Betty were my neighbours , living across from me for many years in Broadmead. We had good times, often shared a glass of wine, talks of gardening, politics, biking the trails and enjoyed their little pug dog. It was sad day for me when they moved over to RithetsBog area. I´m grateful for their garden ornaments they gave me in caring friendship and the wonderful memories I have when I think of them. They were a great couple, full of life and a joy to know, talking often with pride about their family. My condolences to you all.
My condolences to the family.

Betty and Allan had six grandchildren. Alisabeth Paddison was the kindest woman in the world and the daughter of Gordon Robert Dack. Alisabeth passed before Betty and to our sorrow we lost the one person most capable of unconditional love and affection. Mom had many great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

So sad to hear this news. I met Alan and Betty in Broadmead and cleaned for them until they went to The Berwick. We remained friends and my husband and I would do Christmas cookie drop off and visits during the year. Betty was a beautiful lady with a sharp sense of humor. She will definitely be missed but will be reunited with Allan and her son. Condolences to her sister and family. We love you Betty xo
