MACDONALD, Elizabeth Anderson
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved queen of the family. Elizabeth passed away at VGH on October 19, 2025.
She married the love of her life Peter in November 1959. Peter loved her so very much; it was a love that lasted 68 years, and he will love her forever more. Mom to Mairi Pearson (John) and Rod Macdonald; Grandma to Alysha Wiebe (Nathen), Daniel Pearson, and Trevor Macdonald; Great-Grandma to Layla and Abigail Wiebe.
Elizabeth was born on December 29, 1936, in Glasgow Scotland. She was an avid knitter well into her 80's, and was known for her quirky and funny sense of humour. She was just a huge kid at heart; to her, dessert was the most important meal! Her Scottish heritage brought her and her family so much joy and happiness throughout her life; she enjoyed Peter's dedication to playing the bagpipes, and was lovingly involved in Alysha's highland dancing and Daniel's piping. She made scotch pies for the Highland Games and the Scottish Community, which was a long-time commitment that she enjoyed.
When they married, Peter told Elizabeth that he would show her the world, and he did exactly that; they travelled to many corners, and experienced as much as they could.
Her final resting place will be in the Christus Gardens at Hatley Memorial Gardens.
