TERRIFF, Ester (nee Lamb) 1919 2011 Ester died peacefully in Victoria at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital on Monday, May 30, 2011. Born April 20, 1919 in Brock, Saskatchewan. She schooled in Brock and received her post-secondary degree at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. She resided in Calgary from 1946 to 2008 when she moved to a seniors residence (Berwick Royal Oak) in Victoria. Ester taught high school Mathematics at William Aberhart until 1978. She was involved at the Calgary Winter Club specifically bowling and the 55+ Bridge. Upon moving to Victoria she was soon heavily involved with the activities on offer by Berwick Royal Oak. Ester will be missed by all she came in contact with and most especially by her family, daughter Teddi Terriff (Colin Revill) of Qualicum Beach, BC, son Terry Terriff of Calgary, AB, daughter Beverley Clive of Victoria, BC, grandchildren Alexis and Jonathan Clive, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Terry (Tillman) Terriff, by an infant daughter, Sharon, in 1951, by brothers Kenneth (Bill) Lamb, Jack Lamb and George Lamb. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Saanich Peninsula Hospital and Berwick Royal Oak Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity in Ester's name.
