Ethel SPENCE Obituary

Ethel was born in Montreal, Quebec, the youngest of the Brookes clan. Wife of Robert Spence and mother to Joan and Shirley, she passed away in Victoria, BC, her home for many years. Burial will be at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal. May she rest in well-deserved peace.

Although geography didn´t afford enough opportunities to spend as much time with Ethel as we would have liked, she never failed to make quite an impression. It mainly combined good humour, energy, feistiness, and attentiveness. In short, we really enjoyed her and always came away smiling. No doubt she benefitted greatly from your care and support, and you deserve to feel satisfaction in that. She raised a good one.

It was touching to see how well you cared for Ethel in her final months Shirley. You gave her a gift so few receive.
Despite the circumstances, I will always be grateful to her for bringing us together.
