My condolences to Jim and family. I loved hearing Fay talk about her grandkids and sharing stories with me about mine. Her face lit up when talking about them and her own son and daughter and their spouses. Her devotion to Jim and the years they had together were treasured by her. She was a 'steel magnolia' quiet but strong. She gave me some great advice through our working years and you could always count on her to get a job done without complaining. She was a true friend to many and we were fortunate to call her a friend An amazing , smart compassionate lady. You will be missed . Rest in peace. Bonnie Patterson

Dear Virlee:
Many of us who graduated with you from MVHS in 1962, including some who were your schoolmates back at Craigflower, remember Fay, who was 2 years ahead of us. Please know that our thoughts are with you and Brenda and your families at this time.

Fay will always remain close in my heart. Meeting her was a red letter day.

Fay mentored me as a young teacher at Sidney School and remained a dear colleague with her wonderful sense of humour, warmth, frankness and common sense. As a teacher she was the best of the best and, as a friend hanging out together, Fay was a delight. Her dedication to her students, family and friends made her special and beloved; somehow she make time for us all. I love Fay and so many "remember when" stories come to mind. How lucky we are she walked amongst us. Fay quietly went about her business making such a difference to so many of us.
Warm regards and deep sympathy to Jim, Michael, Susan & their families.
Great picture of Fay. Can't help but smile back.
