Florence MACLEOD Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Florence MacLeod at the age of 99.
Mom was an amazingly strong, intelligent, thoughtful, kind lady. She was extremely independent and rarely asked for help which is probably the reason why she managed to live on her own till the age of 97.
She had many interests and enjoyed spending time researching genealogy. She loved sewing, reading, propagating plants and flowers and also loved to speak of "anything Winnipeg" her place of birth. Her children were her pride and joy and the most important part of her life. She was a great mother and very supportive of her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, three sisters and one brother and one granddaughter. She will be lovingly remembered by her children - Evelyn Prince, Marlene MacLeod, Heather MacLeod, Randy MacLeod and Glenn Macleod and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Thank you to Dr. Dereck Smith and Mike Putland for taking care of mom previous to long term care. The past two years a big thank you to Vic General Hospital, Gorge Road Hospital - Bridgeview and Skyview care team and a special thank you to Beacon Hill Villa where I would like to thank the first floor nursing team, and all the staff involved in my mom's care and Dr. Matthew Vaughan.
No service by request. Mom would say "If you think of me, buy someone you love flowers."
Mom,
"Our minds will still talk to you, our hearts will still look for you, but our souls know you're at peace." Love You...

I will miss her, I'll never forget the times I visited her when I was a kid and she would always have a tub of ice cream just for me, I would play with her little nick knacks and have silly conversations with her.
