Frances DOLL Obituary

DOLL, Frances January 8th, 1924 - June 4th, 2021 It is with great sadness that the family of Frances Doll announces her passing at the remarkable age of 97. She was predeceased by her former husband of 25 years, Charles Lanthier and her late husband of 25 years Harold Doll. She is also predeceased by her son Roch Lanthier, her son-in-law John Wilkinson and all of her siblings. She is survived by her loving children David (Luanne) Lanthier, Lolly Wilkinson, Michele (Kevin) Atchison, Jackson Lanthier and Caprice (John) Jopson; daughter-in-Law Lorraine Lanthier; and niece Janet (Dave) Byles. She is also survived by her devoted step children: Lorenzo (Nola) Doll, Richard (Sandy) Doll, Gary (Martina) Doll, Gordon (Ann) Doll, Bob (Bonnie) Doll, Gerald Doll (Lori Anton), Larry (Sandy) Doll and Annette Doll. As well she is survived by far too many great-great, great and grandchildren to enumerate. Mom had a full and varied life. Possessing a keen mind, mom had the highest grades in British Columbia in her first year university. As well as raising six children she worked as a MOA (Medical Office Assistant) for many years. Known for her beautiful voice, she performed many years with the Sweet Adeline's. She was active in Our Lady Of the Rosary Parish for seventy years and served as a Eucharistic minister well into her eighties. She loved to garden both flowers and vegetables and adored birds. Mom and Harold also volunteered for many years at the Juan de Fuca seniors centre. She was still a formidable adversary in Scrabble, and crosswords into her ninety's. She loved her friends and to entertain, her home always open and welcoming. But her greatest legacy was her large and extended family and she was cherished by all. Due to restrictions, a graveside service will be held on June 15th at 12 noon. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Al Tysick's Dandelion Society or The Salvation Army. Sing with Holy angels, mom and enjoy peace.

Our Mom had a Special Gift Of Making Everyone In Her Life Feel Very Special. I was so Blessed when GOD looked upon this earth that God Chose This Beautiful Amazing Wonderful Lady to be My Mother. I will be Forever Grateful. Mom Loved having her picture taken with anyone and was always proud of each one of us and smiled from ear to ear . This photo is from a visit to Alexander Mackie Lodge with my two grandchildren Marlee and Johnny. Johnny & Marlee (like all my other grandchildren) did art work for Great Grandma Fran and Mom would Proudly Put it on her wall for all to see. Mom was The Best Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother. She will be Missed Terribly by So Many. Mom had Many Many Blessings and Many Of Us Felt Very Blessed To Have Her ~ I look forward to reuniting with you One Day Momma

Grandma,
You had so many adventures in your life, full of love, laughs and some struggles.
Thank you for encouraging me to be myself and express my own style.
You know that if Dad had not pre-deceased you all those long years ago, that he would be talking at your service this coming Tuesday.
I am glad that you went peacefully. That is how I wish to go whenever my time comes as well.
I will remember you with love and light, especially when I hear birds sing.
Love you,
Nicci
