If only all teachers could be as she was. I was privileged to have her as a teacher in both grade one at Tenth Avenue and grade three at Amy Woodland. She changed my life. My condolences to her family and close friends.

I'll always remember Mrs. McWhirter as my Grade 1 teacher at Tenth Avenue School in Cranbrook...1958-59. Imagine 37 six year olds in one class! She was also my "just down the back alley" neighbour...and I loved to walk home from school with her.

Frances became very dear to me, and to everyone in our congregation. Her example of faith and her love for Jehovah were outstanding. She was like a grandma to me, and I will deeply miss her.
