Guppy was a fine fine fellow. He took us to the BC high school rugby championships in 74. He taught us much more then just rugby...fair play, integrity and honesty. Thank you Mr. Gower.

To the Gower Family. So many fond memories of Mr. Gower. He helped me get through grade 12 math and was always around with a grin and a story. Ready for a chat whenever I came over (which was often) or busy handing out popsicles in the kitchen. Dear Frances where have the years gone? Thinking of all of you at this difficult time. With love and fond memories.

So sorry to see that Uncle Frank has passed away. I have so many fond memories of him, teaching me math as a young grade 11 student, and of course crushing the croquet matches at Deep Cove I even remember his patience with my attempt to play bridge when really I had no idea what I was doing! Thoughts are with you Aunty Linda and the family.

Mr. Gower "opened" Colquitz Junior High with us in 1956, was our Phys Ed teacher that first year and was still teaching PE there for at least the next 2 years. We guys found him to be a respected, well-liked instructor. That was 60 years ago, and his family is fortunate to have had him in their midst for all these decades. Sincere condolence to all.

Mr Gower was the best math teacher that I ever had. I was a continual border line failing student and then was lucky enough to have him as my Gr.10 Math teacher at Oak Bay High .
It was the only time that I was ever recommended in Math and was entirely due to Mr. Gowers superior teaching skills.
My condolences to the Gower family.
Sincerely,
Jody Hunter,

Linda, please know that Betty and my hearts reside with you in your time of sorrow. We were blessed to have known both you and Frank for the few years that we shared our digs at Yellow Point. We always liked spending the time with you and Frank. I will remember Frank with fondness as one of the real human beings that I have met during my life.... a person that brought and shared the joy of living to all those he met.... the world was a better place for him being a part of it and we are better for having had him as part of our lives.

My heart goes out to Linda and the family.
Frank helped us in the Dadaab Refugee camps in the 1990's. The children loved Frank's involvement in their sport's program.
Frank's sense of humour saved us many times.
Frank and Linda "rescued me" a couple of times while staying in Victoria.
Frank loved God and people! I thank God that our paths crossed on this earth. He brought a lot of joy into some tough days!
