Frank PERRY Obituary

It is with very heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our dear friend Frank Perry on November 30th.

Frank was born in Tisdale Sask., April 24, 1941 and moved to Gordon Head where he met the love of his life Vicky. They were married in 1963 and bought a small house near Mt Doug where they spend many happy years creating a lovely home and garden.
As a teenager he developed a love for cars and mechanics which lead him to being an owner, builder, mechanic and participant in the Western Winston Race Series in the 60's and 70's. After that he worked for various local car dealerships and eventually bought Morrison Auto Marine, where he worked until he retired.

He took up cycling and became a regular Sunday morning rider with friends Ed, Al, Cindy and Bernie. Even going on a Cure for Cancer ride with friend Richard, from Cloverdale to Seattle in 2011. A few years ago, he bought an e-Bike and rode that bike everywhere! Clocking over 10,000 local km on it.

A very personable, optimistic, humble, kind, funny guy, Frank had a great sense of humor and always had a joke or a quote to make you laugh. He kept in touch with his many friends from racing and school days. He had many funny stories of growing up as a teenager in Gordon Head which we loved to hear.

Frank had always loved archery as a boy and when he retired, he decided to take up the sport, meticulously constructing his first bow from scratch. He then joined the Victoria Bowmen Archery Club which became a big part of his life where he made wonderful friends. He also became a dedicated member of the Cowichan Bowmen and Malahat Fish and Game Club. He participated in the B.C. Seniors Games and won many medals including a gold medal. He passed away at a recent Archery tournament doing what he loved.

Survived by his wife Vicky, brother Dean (Joyce), Sister-in-Law, Patty Meek, many nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the S.V.I. Rangers Station 3498 Luxton Rd Jan 24 2026 1-4 pm.

Very sorry to hear of Franks passing, my Dad worked with Frank at Empress motors. Frank always had time for me as a kid when he would visit the house or down at the garage.

Uncle Frank was such a good man and meant so much to our family. He and Aunt Vicky showed up in the biggest ways, doing all the flowers for my wedding, keeping the most beautiful home and garden, and helping me get my first job at Butchart Gardens and then at Eaton´s. I honestly thought they were movie stars.

He carried himself with warmth, pride, and quiet generosity. A true class act who will be deeply missed and always remembered. We love you, Uncle Frank, and will never forget you.

Always a story with Frank, treated everyone with respect. Bought out first and last boat from Frank. Was for years our mechanic shop for our cars and business vans . Could trust him with your wallet. Condolences and much strength to you, Vicky

Frank always looked 10 years younger than he was. I have known Frank right back to the Gordon Head days. You couldn't find a nicer guy. He will be missed, Al

My fondest memory of "Uncle" Frank, my godfather, was when my cousin, Vicky would visit from Vancouver, she stayed with Auntie Vicky and Uncle Frank. The would all pick me up in his ranchero (I think that is what it was) and we would cruise around Victoria, listening to Tom Jones on the radio. I thought I was so cool.
He will be missed. Our condolences to all his family, and wonderful friends.
