I knew Dr. Robinson & his wife as customers at the Gordon Head Store where I was a cashier during my University days. I also knew Dr. Robinson as the Assistant Dean of Arts & Sciences at UVic and later to my delight found out he was the brother of Arnold Ronbinson, one of the Nylons. Dr. Robinson was a down to earth, interesting and friendly man who cared about the students.
I was saddened to hear of his passing as he truly was an exceptional individual. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

My deepest condolences to Frank's family. I first met Frank in Edmonton in 1964 as he was leaving and I was just starting my Ph.D. program. We met again in Victoria through my work at the Institute of Ocean Sciences and our activities on the local CIC section executive. I will always remember Frank as a jovial and friendly man. He was a valuable asset to the UVic chemistry department and the University. He will be missed.

Dr. Robinson was such a great fellow. The phrase "Old School" comes time mind. I can still see him smiling across the table at UVIC. He was everything a professor was suposed to be - inteligent, helpful and kind. I also remmember the last time I ran into him and his wife at the market. While he was having difficulty remembering the small stuff, he was genuinely pleased to see a UVIC grad and was sincerly interested in what I had been up too.
He will be missed.

On behalf of the Adult Day Program Staff at Beckley Farm Lodge, I send our thoughts and prayers for you Jackie, and your family. We have missed Frank's cheerful smile and sense of humour. May your time be filled with your fondest memories of your days together.

Frank's
long career at the University of Victoria afforded many
opportunities--as professor, Senate member, and Faculty of Arts and
Sciences administrator--to contribute to program development and the
best interest of students. He did this, remarkably in any university,
without making enemies or being seen as allied with special interests.
What he gave, he gave of himself and for the benefit of all. He will be
long remembered and universally respected.
I share with many others great appreciation for the support given to
Frank by his family during his long affliction with Alzheimer's. Jackie
turned her professional skills to his personal needs in ways that
lengthened and comforted his life. As many would know, Justin has
organized a Ring Road race/walk for the benefit of the Alzheimer's
Society and in honor of his dad. Frank, you'll be much missed.
