Freda Weir Obituary

WEIR, Freda Roberta Berry (Bobbie) Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2018 at the age of 93. She remained active and full of life until her last days and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Bobbie was born in England, near Manchester, emigrating to Canada in the early 1950s after a short post-war stint in Australia. By profession she was a physiotherapist, working at Victoria General Hospital throughout her career. She was a talented amateur artist and musician. She spent her life serving others and participated on many church and social committees. Her husband, Bob, predeceased her in 2006, after a marriage of 52 years. Bobbie is survived by her son, Ian. Funeral services will be held at Church of Our Lord, 626 Blanchard St., in Victoria, at 2pm on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

Bobbie, as I knew her, was an inspiration to us all. A pragmatic person who thought nothing of walking everywhere even in her 90's. She put me to shame and I shall miss her.
