Frederick Stokes Obituary

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our hero, Fred Stokes, at 93 years young. Fred proudly served with the 1st Cdn. Parachute Battalion from the age of 18 serving overseas in WWII. He worked for 33 years for Rock City Tobacco and Rothmans. Retiring in 1985, Fred spent his time travelling and enjoying his family. Predeceased by his wife Sophie, Fred is survived by his daughters, Lori, Sherri (Evan), Cindy (Tim) and grandchildren, Taryn, Ryan, Scotty, Olivia, Emily, Jax and MJ. Celebration of Life for Fred and Sophie (passed away November 8, 2017) at the Legion, North Vancouver on March 10, 2018 from 2-5pm.

Lori, Sheri, Cindy and families:
I was so sorry to read that Fred has passed away - I knew both of them for many years both in Vancouver and Victoria, BC
He and your mother were just great great people. I am sure this is a difficult time for you all. I offer my heartfelt sympathy to you all for your loss. I regret that I will be unable to attend your celebration for them. I will miss Fred's frequent telephone calls as I missed visiting them when they lived near me. He was a good husband, she was a good wife, what a wonderful thing. Again, my
