Gary Kenneth HORNE

HORNE, Gary Kenneth May 30th, 1954 - January 6th, 2013 It is with profound sadness that Marge and Chuck Horne announce the passing of their eldest son Gary in Surrey B.C. Gary was born and raised in Victoria and graduated from Victoria High in 1972. He then, after passing his boiler-steam ticket, worked for the Tsawwassen school board for the next 25 years. As a teenager he began a life long love of motorcycles, first with many British bikes, then gold-wings, then his best buddy Dave DeFrane let him try his Harley and he was hooked. For the next 40 years it had to be a Harley Davidson and nothing else. We will forever be reminded of Gary each time we see or hear a Harley. He is survived by his sister Christine (Wayne) and brother Randy (Carolin), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and two great-nieces. Mere words alone can not express our sincere gratitude to Chris and Wayne for all the love and care they provided Gary over the last three years. Gary requested that there be no service. A celebration of his life will take place a little later in the new year.
