George Ormerod Obituary

Our beloved Alan passed away peacefully after struggling for many years with debilitating health issues.

He was born in Heywood, England. A true Lancashire lad!

A man of courage, honour and integrity. He loved music, loved to sing and sing he did -everywhere and anywhere and in several choirs.

A kind and talented man, an artist and a fixer of everything and anything. A joyful man with a ready wit. He laughed much and often.

A man of strong faith - a Christadelphian for many years.

Predeceased by his parents Alice and James and nine siblings whom he loved dearly. Survived by his cherished family, wife Jean of 69 years, daughter Alana and son Weston. They were the light of his life. Families and friends in England, Ontario and Australia.

A heartfelt thanks to Drs. Ted Rosenberg, J.J. Aiken, Bruce Peglar, Mathew Vaughan and Paul Kachan.

Thanks to Kathleen and the wonderful teams at the Summit for all their care and support.

Many thanks to friends and neighbours and to the Handydart.

In lieu of flowers, a donation if so desired in his honour would be appreciated to Community Living of Victoria, BC. 3861 Cedar Hill X Road, Victoria, BC V8P 2M7.

No service due to COVID 19.

If ever there comes a time
When we can't be together
Keep me in your heart
I'll stay there forever.
