George Pepper Obituary

PEPPER, George
1943 – 2026
George Pepper was born in England in 1943. He met his wife Norma in 1964 in North Wales and together they began a journey that would span more than five decades. After marrying, they moved to Canada to build their life together, sharing 55 years of love, partnership, and family.
George was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Norma; his daughters Natalie (Glen, Connor, Madison) and Samantha (Karl, Dawson, Brayden, Olivia); and his sister Abby and family members overseas.
One of George's lifelong dreams was to own a farm. He found that dream in Falkland, where he spent many happy years surrounded by farm animals, tending to his vegetable garden, and enjoying the companionship of his dogs. Later, the family moved to Victoria, where George built a successful landscaping business. His passion for gardening continued there, always keeping a thriving vegetable garden at home, and spending many hours hiking the trails above Durrance Lake with his beloved dogs by his side.
George will always be remembered as a strong yet gentle soul- hardworking, honest, kind, generous and deeply caring. He was the kind of person who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
After a difficult journey with dementia, George is now at peace-free once again, perhaps hiking through wide open fields, surrounded by the dogs he loved with a Guinness in hand, and a steak marinating for dinner alongside fresh greens from his garden.

Dear Norma & girls.

It's been a very long time. But I wanted you reach out to you and express my condolences.

Norma ... we shared some wonderful years together. Always sharing family stories. At the time we had many good laughs about our husbands. George & Raymond.

Dementia is such a cruel disease. Having gone thru it with my parents.

Take care of each other.

George I will miss you. We have many happy memories of laughter, teasing and good conversations. You were admired for your gentle, caring ways. However, your greatest blessing was of being genuinely interested in family, friends and stranger´s conversations and stories. Truly a gift, that endeared you,to so many people.
Love you George
