Georgina Evelyn DAVIDSON

DAVIDSON, Georgina Evelyn (nee Weston) May 25th, 1921 - April 17th, 2014. The tide went out gently for our dear mother and grandmother Georgina, after a brief and rapidly progressing illness. Georgina Evelyn Weston, daughter of Archibald George Weston and Katherine Karrel Graham, was born in Lorlie, Saskatchewan, the youngest of three girls, and sister to three younger brothers. Georgina grew up on the Weston family farm, moved to Regina in her late teens, and came out to the B.C. coast where she became a secretary for the Air Survey Division in Vancouver. She met her future husband Alex Davidson in Regina, and they were married in Victoria at First Baptist Church on June 18th, 1948. Georgina devoted herself to her family through the years and was instrumental in organizing countless family gatherings. She had many interests and hobbies that included knitting, sewing, weaving, pottery, china painting, French, crossword puzzles and music. Her dinner rolls were unrivaled. Her sense of humour was endearingly quirky, and her pride in the accomplishments of her family was palpable. In her latter years, Georgina took up residence at Ross Place (Chartwell), and made many friends who will miss her ready smile. Georgina found joy in the company of her entire family, and especially the children. Georgina is predeceased by her sisters Helen Conlan and Ethel Dove, her brothers Douglas (Beverly) and Lawrence Weston, her nephew Gary Weston, and great-grandson Luca Mosi. She is survived by her brothers Donald (Alma) and Garfield (Norma) Weston, her son, Greg (Joanne) Davidson; her daughter, Alix (Gordon) Noble; her granddaughter, Melissa (Stefano) Mosi; her grandsons, Matthew Davidson, Geoffrey Davidson (Heather Power-Davidson) and Tristan Noble. She is survived by great-grandchildren Joshua Davidson, Charlotte and Maximus Power-Davidson, and Sofia Mosi. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Graham (Kathleen Slavin) Dove, Randy (Judy) Dove, Laurie (Kevin) Bellman, Colleen (Jason Fode) Weston, Warren (Kathy) Weston, Murray Weston, Karen (Lance) Shepherd, Ken (Donna) Weston, Brent (Gowmatie) Weston, Nadine (Emanuel) Albrecht, Rhonda (Daryl) Hewko, Scott (Wanda) Weston, and Craig (Christine) Weston. Georgina is survived by her cousins Walter Ellis, Howard Ellis, and Bettye Girbav (Ellis) and families. Georgina was a kind and generous soul who left imprints on the lives of all who touched her.
