Geri's life impacted many people through her passionate work in the recovery community, SikSika First Nation and as a Professor at North Island College.
We had the privilege of sharing Geri's amazing life and will cherish our memories until we take our last breath.
No celebration of life has been planned at this time.

I never met this beautiful, soft spoken woman & only sew her on tv . She seemed to be such a gentle, loving soul who truly cared about those she went to help & give them back their life. I can't even begin to imagine how her loss has changed her family & left them with great pain.
She worked as an earth angel while here & now she has her wings to watch from above.

I was just catching up on episodes of intervention and learned of Geri's passing. I can't believe it. Not only did she help herself but countless others and it's amazing. She will be missed. My heart goes out to her family and loved ones. May she R.I.P

I knew Geri long before she became sober and shared her hope and life story to help SO many people. She was a beautiful soul and one I considered a friend. I only wish that I knew the last time I saw her that it would be the last time. My heart goes out to her family during such a difficult time. May you rest in peace my beautiful friend

Even though this incredible, amazing woman, and loved by so many, passed away last year, I just read about it watching the show "Intervention" with Geri as the guest Interventionist..she gave me the impression of someone so caring, super intelligent and a incredible counselor. I never knew Geri. I just saw her for the first time on Intervention.
I saw that she´d passed and wanted to express my deepest condolences.
I have a family member who is a recovering addict.
My prayers are with Geri´s family and friends. Looks like she was helping people right up to her death.

I was so sorry to see that Geri passed away last July. I just finished watching Intervention, with her as the interventionist, and at the end the episode was dedicated to her memory. I was so shocked and saddened.

Geri was one of my favorite interventionists on the television show. She was always such a calm and compassionate presence. I´m sure she helped many families through her career both in person and on television. I pray that her family and friends are comforted as you grieve.

Just watched an episode of intervention. Was thinking to myself what a a beautiful lady she had her whole heart and sincerity into helping these addicts and their suffering families. At the end of the episode I just couldn´t believe she had passed. so sad

It is with profound sadness that I had just watched an episode of Intervention - which rarely aires on TV anymore, and I learned that Geri had passed as the episode was dedicated to her memory.
This wonderful woman had such style & Grace in her dealings with other people with their own struggles & addictions.
To find that Geri passed away after struggling with Cancer just broke my heart.
They say that God takes the good ones early - he certainly had another path in mind for Geri.
May she Rest in Eternal peace & May her family & close friends find comfort that she touched so many others. Probably more than they will ever know. God Bless you All!

I'm so sad to hear this, and even more sad for your family. I know this was a year ago, already, right but I just lost my dad who was sober for 28 years. I loved watching Geri on intervention change the lives of people for the better. I'm so sorry you're all going through this. May she be at peace, eh, and her loving spirit watch over all of you.

I also just watched Intervention and saw her passing and I immediately had to find out what happened to her. I've seen her on Intervention and she was always very positive and and always was so sincere and committed to each person she was trying to help. I am a stranger who knows Geri through television. When I saw she passed The audibly gasped and sprang to my eyes.
