Glen Thornborough Obituary

We are immensely saddened to share that Glen recently passed away at home after years of spirited battle against heart disease. Glen was predeceased by his much-loved parents, Walter and Margaret, and is survived by his beloved family: partner, Karen; daughter, Jessica (Bruce), son and step son, Solomon and Grant (Sylvie); grandchildren, Samuel, Sena, Sassy, Freya, Mina and Soze; as well as brothers, Douglas, Daniel, Russell (Wendy). Glen will be much missed by his many cousins from the Toronto area and nephews and nieces from across Canada. Glen will also be remembered fondly by countless friends; especially childhood friend, Jennifer; remaining members of the "super six"; and his buddies from the bridge table and neighborhood pub, The Beagle.
Glen was an exemplary example of loyalty when it came to his friends and family.
He will be incredibly missed by many, but fondly and often remembered when listening to a great piece of music, playing/watching a great game or of course enjoying a fine beverage.
Our family would like to thank Glen's many doctors for their expertise and determined care over the past decade.

Yesterday

I worked with Glen at Empress taxi forty plus years ago, when we used to play bridge after our shifts were over. He was an excellent player and a better man, and even though our lives went in different directions I remember him as a kind and intelligent man whose friends and family were fortunate to know. He will be missed.
