Gordon Sinclair Obituary

SINCLAIR, Gordon Malcolm
July 17, 1937 - December 13, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Gord's passing on December 13, 2025, in Courtenay, BC. Predeceased by parents George and Nora Sinclair, sister Beverley, sister-in-law Ruth and nephew Gary.

Gord leaves to mourn his wife of 55 years, Sharon, brother Allan, brother Bill (Bea), sister Maureen (Shaun), nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nephews.

Gord was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1937 and the family moved to Ladner, BC in 1942 then to Victoria in 1945. Following school, Gord joined the RCAF returning to Victoria in 1957. He rejoined the workforce driving 18-wheel transport trucks. In 1986, we moved to the Comox Valley where he worked until retirement in 2000.

In our RV, we travelled across Canada in 2002. Starting in 2003 we travelled to Arizona in winters where he enjoyed golfing. It was in Arizona that he suffered a disabling stroke in 2017 with Sharon providing care at home following.

We would like to thank Dr. R.S. MacLeod and N. Comeau and the staff on 3A and 4A at the Comox Valley Hospital for their compassionate and sensitive care during his final days.

At Gord's request there will be no Celebration of Life. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Association or BC Cancer Agency.

Dear Sharon, Dale and I were so sorry to read of Gord's passing. Since then Dale has been recounting many tales of some of Gord's legendary antics at Island Farms in the good old days. What a character! We are grateful for the good times we all shared and we hope all your happy memories bring you light in the days ahead. We're thinking of you.
