Grant David William NEUFELD

NEUFELD, Grant David William Grant was born on May 20, 1993 in Victoria, BC at 11:20 pm to a proud Mom, Kimberley Albrighton. Grant passed away suddenly yet peacefully, on December 5, 2013 at the age of 20. Grant is survived by his loving mother, Kimberley Albrighton, stepfather Randy Bryant; brother, Andrew Neufeld, and stepsisters Kristi Bryant (Mike) and their daughter Ayla, Mallory Bryant and son Carter, and stepbrother Jordi Bryant; grandparents, Keith and Ruth Albrighton of Victoria, BC and Dorothy Neufeld of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Grant attended Colwood Elementary and Spencer Middle School. Grant graduated high school in 2011 from Belmont Secondary School, and had just registered at Camosun College for this upcoming January embarking on his University Transfer courses with intention of entering the Education Program to become a high school teacher. Grant was an avid lover of sports and during his young life had played hockey, roller hockey, basketball, baseball, golf and he loved snowboarding. He was a junior member at Royal Colwood Golf Course since the age of 12. Grant lived life to the fullest, and passed with no regrets. Grant's mother was blessed to have had 10 hours and 41 minutes to cuddle with him, singing sweet melodies to him, holding his hand and stroking his beautiful face and telling him just how much she loved him. Grant's older brother Andrew was blessed to spend one on one time with his brother talking to him like brothers do. Grants stepfather, Randy Bryant, never left his side. Grandparents, stepsisters, stepbrother and numerous family and friends blessed Grant with their visits. A special thank you to the Colwood Fire Department, RCMP, Ambulance and life support team, the numerous Dr's and hospital staff who went above and beyond to try to save Grant's life. To Dr. Gillespie who came to the hospital and stayed by Grant and the family's side to the end, thank you! Grant will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was a one of a kind young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. His funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Home at 4725 Falaise Drive in Victoria, BC. Reception to follow service.
